Edward Vandenberg, Chairman and founder of Roto Press International was born in Holland. After coming to the United States, Ed worked for Procter and Gamble's Machine Research Development Laboratories, where he was introduced to label presses. Ed started the Vandenberg Company in 1962, which successfully manufactured central impression cylinder label printing and diecutting presses. Even today, there are several "Vandenberg" presses, the forefather of the Roto Press, running labels in print shops across the U.S.
After the sale of the central impression cylinder press design, Ed began concentrating on custom machinery designs for the packaging industry with his new company, Roto Press Engineering Company, Inc. His first design was the Model 2002, an in-line press that was reliable, user-friendly, versatile and capable of printing high quality labels. The Model 2002 has since evolved into the Model 3510. In 1994, Roto Press Engineering Company, Inc. became Roto Press International to reflect our worldwide success. Presses have been installed in Germany, Canada, Argentina, France, England and Barbados, as well as throughout the United States. We have sales representatives and distributors covering the West Coast, East Coast, Canada, Southwest, and Midwest in the United States, along with agents in France and England. |
